Above is a picture of Sydney’s entertainment quarter. Its where the SCG is and a whole bunch of sports and entertainment venues, most likely maintained by the council.
The funny thing about this picture is that the council has put up a barrier to stop us walking over the newly laid grass, but has done nothing about the pigeons!
You might be thinking, that the council has blocked off this area of turf for the pigeons to eat lunch in. They look like they are having a good time, don’t they!
Keeping the birds off the garden and lawn can be something of an afterthought, after you have finished outside you realise that you have a problem you didn’t bargain for.
In our experience there can be quite a lot of headache with birds eating lawn seed, and it can come with quite some costs in extra lawn seed too. (Maybe Sydney’s council gets a special rate)
In this case we can recommend products to get rid of pigeons.
The Irri-Tape Bird Repellent Ribbon has been quite popular and is a cheap solution to get rid of pigeons from an area.
The Solar Rotating Head Owl can keep pigeons at bay also.
And the Scarecrow Motion Activated Sprinkler is always good for pranking pigeons with a short burst of water, and keeping them away.
From us here at Scarecrow Vs Birds.com, all the best Sydney Council!
And thanks to Kieran for sending in the photo!
